Lasting Memories Challenge#80 Pawsitively Sweet

This week at Lasting Memories Challenge Blog we want you to showcase your animal pictures. Whether its family pets or zoo animals, we want to see them.

We have a sketch that you can follow from http://pagemaps.com if you wish. It is not mandatory so just maike sure you show us your animal pictures. You can link up your projects here LMCB #80 .

This week is exciting because we have some blog candy for the winner. Our DT member Kimberly is givng away this Cricut cartridge.

Now here is my layout. I chose to follow the sketch, but as usual my interpretation is a little off. Here are pictures of our family dog from the first day I brought him home to a picture taken this past week.

Her is a close up of the Title which will show that I used pearls and hearts instead of buttons and I used raffia around the layout instead of stitching.

I also wanted to show the photos because I did that layout in photoshop instead of matting two separate pictures. I did this because I wanted to use these paw prints in the upper left.

St. Patrick's Day card

Just wanted to share a clean and simple card I created for my Mother In Law. I stamped a Docerela Creations stamp for the sentiment "Happy St. Patrick's day" which I added some green decorative scarf (which I have had for months and never used)to. Then I stamped a four leaf clover from the Joanne's dollar bin six times along the bottom.
You can't see it in this picture but I inked the back edge of the card.

I am entering this in the following challenges.

Use It Tuesdays - The green decotaive scarf was the hoarded item I used.

Lasting Memories Challenge Blog #79 - We're feeling Lucky

The challenge at LMCB is a little different this week. We have 3 elements to it if you REALLY want to challenge yourself, but only ONE is mandatory! Come play along and link up your entry.
  1. We want to see the word LUCKY on your layout - this can be the title, journaling - as long as we see it and this is MANDATORY
  2. If you want a little more challenge, add in what you find inspiring about the photo below (NOT mandatory)
  3. Or challenge yourself by using the word LUCKY and the sketch. Again, this one is NOT mandatory
  4. REALLY want to challenge yourself?? Along with the word LUCKY, try the sketch AND photo!

I used the word lucky. I was so happy to find these photos of my son's first St Patty's day. I love those pants so much that he had them in two size ranges. LOL This layout was alot of fun.

Lasting Memories Challenge # 78 - Color Challenge with a sketch

This weeks challenge is a fun and easy one - we're asking you to use this sketch WITH the color inspiration photo. Look carefully .. there's black, grey, white and then of course all those pastels. Can't wait to see what you create this week!!

Here is the sketch and inspirational picture.

Karen's offering up some candy this week!!! Here's what you have a chance to win if you follow the sketch and use the colors.

This is my interpretation of the sketch. This year will be my son's fourth Easter and I just scrapped his first Easter for this challenge. I free hand cut the glittered grass on the bottom of the page. I stamped pink and pink with brown Easter eggs using Studio G stamps I got from the $1 bin at JoAnne's Fabric. The tulips are stamped from the Studio G and then I colored them with my pencils. I stamped Easter on a CTMH cut out that I chalked brown.  The patterned paper the pics are matted on is from CTMH. I hope you like my layout. I think this might be one of my favorites now.

Here is my layout. My son is now 3 1/2 years old so this layout was way overdue. Thanks to LMCB for motivating me.

We have a sketch on the Lasting Memories Challenge blog but it isn't necessary to use for the challenge. So I used another layout I found on page 38 of Scrapbooks etc magazine.
